If you want to get into the habit of using the app To-Do for your daily task management, here are some suggestions as to what you can do. If you haven’t read our general analysis of habits for Office 365, I recommend you do that first. The advice in this post build on that page, you see.
Reduce the task. One suggestion is that you aim for fulfilling the follow habit for a number days: “I will open up the To-Do app every morning and perform the “My Day” planning for one task”. Do you think it feels silly to just do this for one task? Well, remember that in order to build and perfect a habit, it first needs to be established. So that is what we aim for here. Are you able to perform this habit for say 21 days?
To make it easier for you to perform the habit, you can work on your environment in the following way:
- Install the To-Do app on your mobile phone
- Set the To-Do widget to show on your start screen (see screenshot below)
- Activate the feature of receiving a notification at a certain time for completing the “My Day” planning
- Put the To-Do app in the activity bar of your PC

In this way you make it harder for yourself to forget (and to prioritize other actions).
So good luck with developing this habit!
